Your contribution to KPMG
  • Be part of and gain experience in a variety of different strategy projects within the two core proposition areas, Deal Execution (e.g. integration/separation) and Strategy & Performance Transformation (e.g. commercial due diligence, growth, operations strategy, value creation)
  • As a (Senior) Consultant, you will support a team of 2-5 colleagues in delivering a client engagement, which may include:
1. Collecting and analyzing client data and/or external data to develop hypotheses and actionable insights
2. Producing high-quality deliverables (e.g. reports) to present key results to the client under tight deadlines
3. Interacting with various client and deal stakeholders through interviews, on-site meetings and workshops
  • In addition to engagement delivery, you will contribute to the growth of our team in Switzerland by supporting client proposals and other business development activities
This is what makes you successful
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field, with an outstanding academic record. STEM degree holders are also welcome, provided robust economic and financial knowledge can be proven (see below)
  • Robust knowledge of accounting and corporate finance topics, enabling effective analysis and decision-making in complex financial transactions
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in German and English (must-have). Other languages (in particular French and/or Italian) are an asset
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with a high degree of mental flexibility, being able to manage different operational, financial and strategic topics, as well as the links between them in a fast-paced deal environment
  • First practical working experience in a related environment (e.g. deals, strategy consulting, investment) welcome. Degree of relevant experience will determine grading as Consultant or Senior Consultant
  • Intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness, paired with a willingness to take (calculated) risks and ability to "speak truth to power"
  • Willingness and ability to travel
