Head of Communications (80-100%)

Location: Wangen b. Dübendorf 
When: 1 October 2026 

Your mission:

In this role, you will shape how we communicate our purpose, strengthen trust, and position our brand in a highly visible and complex environment. As a strategic advisor to senior leadership, you will connect people, business priorities, and stakeholder expectations through clear, impactful storytelling. Your leadership will help foster engagement, support transformation, and protect Skyguide's reputation as a trusted aviation service provider.

 

Your tasks:
  • Define and drive Skyguide's corporate communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational priorities
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to the CEO, Executive Board, and senior leaders on positioning, messaging, and stakeholder engagement
  • Lead internal and external communications, creating consistent, transparent, and impactful experiences across all channels
  • Strengthen Skyguide's reputation through proactive media relations, executive communications, and strategic brand management
  • Drive employee engagement, leadership communication, and change initiatives that support culture and organizational transformation
  • Oversee communication risk management, crisis communication preparedness, and stakeholder communications in a dynamic environment
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing communications team while continuously advancing communication processes and digital capabilities
  • Provide strategic leadership across corporate communications and closely corporate communications functions, ensuring a coherent narrative, strong institutional positioning, and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholder

 

What we are looking for:
  • Master's degree in Communications, Business, Political Science, or a related field, complemented by relevant professional development
  • Extensive experience in corporate communications, media relations, executive communications, and brand management within complex organizations
  • Broad understanding of corporate affairs, public policy, institutional stakeholder engagement and reputation management in a complex and regulated environment
  • Proven track record as a strategic advisor to executive and board-level stakeholders, with strong influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and crisis management skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear and compelling messages
  • Strong leadership experience with a passion for developing inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success in leading transformation, change communication, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Proficient in English written and orally, good command in French and/or German is a plus
