Swiss Life Asset Managers manages EUR 300bn and is Switzerland's second largest institutional asset managers. Its infrastructure private equity investment team is managing more than EUR 13bn on behalf of Swiss Life and external clients. Our mandate is focused on direct investments in core, core+ and value-add infrastructure assets in OECD countries with a particular focus on Europe and North America. Over the last 14 years we have executed over 75 direct infrastructure investments. The mandate is currently expanding to focus on control and co-control investments of up to EUR 500m. The international and dynamic team is based in Zurich and consists of over 40 investment professionals with extensive international investment experience in the infrastructure sector. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our value-add infrastructure team as an Investment Manager taking part in all aspects of private equity infrastructure investing from deal sourcing to portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Origination, evaluation, execution and active management of value-add infrastructure investments across Europe
  • Lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and investment underwriting for new investment opportunities
  • Take an active role in transaction execution, including coordination of advisers, lenders, management teams and co-investors
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, valuation analyses and investment committee materials
  • Monitor portfolio companies and work closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and value creation initiatives
  • Support portfolio strategy, exit processes and realization of investment returns
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts, investor communications and preparation of marketing materials
  • Work directly with senior investment professionals on high-profile infrastructure growth and value-add transactions

Experience

  • Outstanding academic track record from a leading university or top-tier business school; strong quantitative background preferred
  • 3.5 - 5 years of relevant experience gained within a top-tier investment bank (M&A, Infrastructure, Industrials, Energy, Power & Utilities, Transport, TMT), leading private equity firm, or top-tier strategy consulting firm
  • Demonstrated track record of executing complex M&A, financing or principal investment transactions
  • Strong interest in private markets, infrastructure investing and long-term value creation
  • Exceptional financial modelling, valuation and corporate finance skills; ability to independently build and analyse complex transaction models
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving capabilities
  • Highly driven, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious with the ability to thrive in a performance-oriented environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confidence interacting with senior stakeholders, management teams and external advisers
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish, Italian, German or another European language is advantageous
