Across 190 countries and territories, UNICEF work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.The Individual Giving (IG) team in the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), based in Geneva provides global support to over 50 UNICEF fundraising National Committees (Natcoms) and Country Offices (COs). The IG team is seeking a Planning and Analytics Consultant with capabilities in planning and metrics development and monitoring to join the Individual Giving Fundraising Team, Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP).In this role, the hired consultant will be responsible for planning and validating IG activities with a focus on Individual Giving fundraising performance. Candidates with a business performance analysis background will be particularly suitable.How can you make a difference?SCOPE OF WORK:Under the guidance of the Chief of Individual Giving, the individual consultant will:Generate analysis of Individual Giving data at regular intervals including Rich Data Metrics and Rich Legacy Metrics.Analyze multiple sources of data including reports and comparative analysis that is generated from within UNICEF to support the development of an understanding of the global individual giving landscape, strategy, and long-term growth ambitions. The consultant will also define a holistic set of definitions and metrics designed to focus on long term global income growth.- Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues.- Analyze performance data from disparate sources with a view to optimize and standardize into a singular performance management suite.- Develop and implement performance metrics.- Track key issues and emerging trends.Conduct thorough and regular business analysis to define and map current processes and how they contribute to global fundraising performance with a view to regularly monitor and adapt to drive increased global revenue.- Review internal processes, people, and investments.- Determine actual performance and potential performance in each area of IG operations.- Assess projects after implementation.Collaborate with key stakeholders in HQ, Regions and COs to support the analyses and use of data and business insights.WORK ASSIGNMENTS OVERVEWDELIVERABLES/OUTPUTTIMELINESAnalyses study and overview of new data requirements.Recommendations including new KPIs and redefined processes as needed – phase 1.by 31 January 2026Review phase and input from IG.Report of: Inputs from stakeholders into redefined KPIs including changes in SES – phase 2.by end February 2026Initial recommendations.Initiate changes based on redefined processes – phase 1.by end March 2026Initial recommendations.Initiate changes based on redefined processes – phase 2.by end April 2026RDM delivery initiated new cycle.RDM and RLM: Review changes in RDM.by end May 2026RDM delivery initiated.RDM and RLM: Review changes needed in RDM and gather input from IG specialists.by end June 2026Development of reports.RDM and RLM: Oversee changes in RDM report building.by end July 2026Development of reports.RDM and RLM: Second level analyses on RDM data.by end August 2026Development of IG report based on Strategic Comparator analysis.Strategic Comparator Analysis + RDM report analysis and report.by end September 2026Development of reports.Deep Dive and reports of RDM data.by end October 2026Development of reports.Deep Dive and development of reports based on RDM data and data from Accelerate Acquisition.by end November 2026Development of reports.Final report of new KPIs, evaluation of processes.by 22 December 2026Payment will be made on submission of an invoice and satisfactory completion of the above-mentioned deliverables. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold all or a portion of payment if performance is unsatisfactory, if deliverables/outputs are incomplete, not delivered or for failure to meet deadlines. All materials developed will remain the copyright of UNICEF and UNICEF will be free to adapt and modify them in the future.Consultant's Workplace and Official Travel:The Consultant will be remote/home-based. As part of the assignment, there is a possibility of travel during the assignment on a per need basis and this will be covered separately by UNICEF, and not included in the lump sum fee. The consultant will arrange her/his travel as and when they take place, and related costs will be reimbursed per UNICEF travel policy.Travel Clause:All UNICEF rules and regulations related to travel of Consultants apply.All travels shall be undertaken only upon the prior written approval by UNICEF.The consultant must be fit to travel, be in a possession of the valid UN BSAFE certificate, obligatory inoculation(s) and have a valid own travel/medical insurance and an immunization/vaccination card.To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…Education:Advanced university degree (Master's degree or higher) in Business, Statistics, Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field is required.Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or higher), in combination with additional qualifying 2 years of relevant work experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.Experience:A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience in business planning and analytics or related fields or equivalent is required.Experience in managing large data and projects analytics is required.Languages:Fluency in English is required.
