- Main role
- To design, develop and optimise optogenetic gene therapies, in particular through the engineering of AAV vectors, and to evaluate their efficacy in cellular and animal models. Key Responsibilities* Develop and optimise optogenetic gene therapy approaches. * Design, construct and test new AAV vectors. * Evaluate vectors in in vitro and in vivo models. * Plan, carry out and analyse experiments independently or as part of a team. * Ensure rigorous documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks. * Present results at internal meetings or conferences. * Contribute to the drafting of scientific publications and patents. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre's capabilities in gene therapy and optogenetics. * Conduct regular scientific monitoring to propose new strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
* PhD in life sciences (bioengineering, biochemistry, neuroscience or a related field). * At least 3 years' background in molecular biology and the handling of AAV vectors. * Proven expertise in cloning, plasmid design, sequence analysis, RT-qPCR and DNA purification methods. * Parcours professionnel in mammalian cell culture and working under sterile conditions. * Knowledge of optogenetics, human iPS-derived cell lines, animal models, histology and fluorescence microscopy. * Analytical mind, proactivity and problem-solving orientation. * Sense of responsibility, efficiency, adaptability and ability to manage priorities. * Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team. * Excellent command of English (C1 level required); French is a strong asset.
