Senior Data Engineer

YOUR SKILLS
- 3+ years of experience in data warehouse development and ETL, ideally with Redshift and Matillion
- Python skills and experience with Infrastructure as Code and Ansible
- Solid AWS knowledge across S3, Redshift, and Lambda, including cloud optimization
- Advanced SQL and data modeling capabilities with a focus on scalability and performance
- Experience with data streaming (e.g., Apache Kafka) and integrating diverse APIs and data sources
- Familiarity with BI tools, preferably Tableau, to make complex data accessible to business stakeholders
- Strong business understanding combined with structured analytical thinking — you translate requirements into technical solutions, ask the right questions, and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions
- Proactive and hands-on communicator who bridges the gap between data and decision-makers
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Develop and operate robust ETL pipelines using Matillion, supported by Infrastructure as Code and Ansible
- Implement AWS Lambda functions for customized data solutions beyond standard ETL capabilities
- Integrate diverse data sources and APIs to centralize enterprise data
- Design sustainable and scalable data models and complex SQL queries for business use cases
- Manage master data to ensure accurate consolidation and consistency across systems
- Operate and optimize the data warehouse infrastructure (Matillion, Redshift, Tableau)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions and share knowledge via presentations and documentation
- A senior role with real ownership in a lean team of four: your architecture decisions shape how the whole company uses data
