To strengthen our Biomechanics Team in Zurich-Kloten we are looking for a
Your Responsibilities as Lab Technician Biomechanics
- Prepare, conduct, and document mechanical tests according to internal procedures, SOPs, and international standards.
- Analyze test results and perform basic statistical evaluations.
- Prepare clear and accurate technical reports.
- Support product verification and characterization activities within R&D projects.
- Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure laboratory infrastructure remains operational, reliable, and compliant.
- Review, maintain, and continuously improve laboratory procedures and SOPs.
- Support failure investigations using optical microscopy and, ideally, scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
- Collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory requirements in a regulated laboratory environment.
Your Profile
- Degree as Dipl. Techniker/in HF/TS or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical testing.
- Experience working within interdisciplinary project teams.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the medical device industry, materials science, or another regulated environment.
- Experience with workshop machinery such as milling, drilling, and turning equipment.
- Experience in optical failure analysis and material characterization.
- Knowledge of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
