The Department of Actuarial Science of the Faculty of Business and Economics is looking for a Graduate Assistant.

Job information

Expected start date in position : 01/10/2025 (or at a later mutually agreed date)

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years.

Activity rate : 80%

Workplace : Lausanne Dorigny, Extranef building.

Supervisor: Prof. Séverine Arnold

Your responsibilities

In your activities, you will have to :

• 50% of your time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies in actuarial science.

• 50% of the assistant's time will be dedicated to teaching, administrative (including exam supervision) technical and research support for the department.

Your qualifications

In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :

• Master of Science (MSc) in Acturial Science, (Actuarial) Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.

• Desire to deepen the knowledge in actuarial science with the aim to obtain a doctoral degree.

• Fluent in English. Basic understanding of French is not necessary but a plus.

• Ability to work in a team and good communications skills.
