Student Support - AI & Automation Implementation Finance (60-80%)

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, technology-driven and hands-on student to support our Finance and Accounting teams in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation technologies across our global Finance organization.

In this role, you will play a central part in shaping how AI and automation are adopted across our global Finance organization. Acting at the intersection of Finance and Technology, you will work with stakeholders across multiple locations to identify, develop and implement practical AI-enabled and automation solutions that create measurable business value. Through close collaboration with both Finance teams and the firm's central AI team, you will gain hands-on experience in applying emerging technologies within a global financial services environment while contributing directly to digital transformation initiatives of our Finance organization. You can expect a dynamic and international working environment characterized by collaborative teamwork, flat hierarchies and the opportunity to make a tangible impact.

Your responsibilities include:

• Act as the central implementation resource for AI and automation initiatives within Finance and serve as the primary interface to the firm's central AI team;

• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling and Local Accounting teams to understand existing processes and translate opportunities for process optimization into practical solutions through AI and automation;

• Design, build, test and maintain automation solutions using tools such as workflow automation tools, AI-based assistants, agents and other digital technologies;

• Monitor implemented solutions and identify opportunities for further enhancements;

• Participate in Finance-wide digital transformation projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls;

This student position is designed to be a full-time role during the semester breaks and offers flexibility during studies with approximately 2-3 working days per week. This is a great opportunity for students who can commit to this role for a minimum of 18 months during their studies.

Requirements

• Ongoing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance or a related field;

• Theoretical understanding and first practical experience with modern Generative AI tools and concepts, including AI assistants (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude), AI agents, prompt engineering and AI-enabled workflow automation;

• Initial hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, AI agents and low-code/no-code solutions - knowledge in Python, SQL or similar technologies is considered an advantage;

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain AI solutions in an understandable manner;

• Strong English and German language skills;

• Proactive, self-motivated and service-oriented personality with a hands-on implementation mindset.
