Scientific Visual develops high-tech 3D scanners for automated quality inspection of industrial crystals – critical components in the watchmaking, LED, electric cars and smartphones. Our systems combine robotics, chemistry, optics, and image processing to reveal hidden defects before crystals are processed.
We are looking for a talented C++ developer who is excited to work on the edge of hardware and software – building scanners that literally see through solid matter.
What you will do
• Mastery of modern C++ and CMake, with a clean, modular coding style.
• Work with various types of scanning hardware and with the 3D objects they generate.
• Architect and implement software to control optical, lighting, and 3D scanning systems.
• Fuse 3D surface scans with internal volumetric data.
• Build intuitive and efficient GUI components for metrology tools used by top industry players.
• Collaborate with the Lead Developer to debug, refine, and elevate the full software stack.

What you bring
• Mastery of modern C++ and CMake, with a clean, modular coding style.
• Experience using tools like vcpkg, and comfort leveraging ChatGPT to speed up development.
• A portfolio or GitHub that proves your skill.
• Fluent written English (our docs and UI depend on it).
• Analytical thinking and a self-driven mindset—you can work solo and thrive in a fast-moving team.
• Swiss or EU citizenship, or a valid C, B, or S permit.

Bonus points for
• Python or C# experience.
• Knowledge of 3D scanners or metrology systems.
• Familiarity with PLC or TwinCAT.
