We are currently recruiting for a
- Research Chemiston behalf of a leading international company in the agrochemical sector, based in Stein, AG, Switzerland. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic R&D environment, where you will contribute directly to the design and synthesis of new molecules from early discovery through to development. Research Chemist
- Your responsibilities
- As part of the Research Chemistry team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality compounds by combining hands-on laboratory work with scientific problem solving. Your responsibilities will include:Designing and executing synthetic routes to target molecules
- Performing organic synthesis independently and within a team
- Troubleshooting and optimizing reactions
- Conducting purification and structural analysis (e. chromatography, NMR, LC-MS) Ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and risk assessments
- Accurately documenting experimental work and results
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (analytical, automation, etc. )
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a hands-on chemist with a strong foundation in synthetic organic chemistry:Master’s degree in Chemistry or apprenticeship + industrial experience
- Ideally 1–5 years of experience in organic synthesis
- Solid knowledge of:Reaction design & retrosynthesis
- Purification techniques
- Structural elucidation
- Comfortable working in a lab-focused, fast-paced R&D environment
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently
- Familiar with digital tools for chemistry data (a plus) Additional
REQUIREMENTS
Fluent in English (mandatory) German is a plus
