We at VAT Group AG, headquartered in Switzerland - Haag, invite a talented and passionate Development Engineer Corrosion Protection to join our innovative development environment.
You will be responsible for strengthening our competencies in the field of vacuum sensor protection against corrosive gases and material deposition in semiconductor processes. In this role, you will contribute to accelerating the time-to-market of our advanced sensor products by developing and implementing effective protection concepts and solutions. Through your expertise, you will support the continuous advancement of our sensor technologies and help ensure reliable performance in demanding semiconductor manufacturing environments.

YOUR CHALLENGES 

 

  • Leading the development of advanced sensor protection concepts and technologies
  • Investigation and testing of different materials, coatings and methods
  • Evaluation and application of accelerated testing procedures and setups
  • Development and characterization of scalable material concepts for new generation, industrial sensor assemblies
  • Collaboration with industrial and academic partners
  • Joining a multi-location R&D organization (Haag, Zürich), some work-related travel is required (max. 20%)

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • MSc or PhD degree in material science, physics, chemistry or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience on material-related topics 
  • Work experience in vacuum technology and/or semiconductor industry
  • Negotiating skills in English and German (fluent in spoken and writing)
  • In-depth understanding of semiconductor processes is beneficial
  • You are used to working independently, proactively and in an organized manner
  • You have a strong ability to work in a team and care about interdisciplinary interface functions
