Your Role

As Lead Auditor at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will apply your experience in areas such as Operations, Risk, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Products, Treasury or Trading to conduct independent audits. Your core responsibilities include planning and executing audits independently, as well as preparing and delivering audit reports.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assume the role of a Lead Auditor, including goal- and deadline-oriented planning, independent execution and timely communication of audit results
  • Own the full audit lifecycle, from risk-based engagement planning and execution to reporting, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
  • Draft clear and impactful audit reports
  • Act as a sparring partner for management
  • Monitor the effective implementation of measures
  • Prepare statements for the Head of Group Internal Audit, the Board of Directors, or other decision-makers
  • Participate in special investigations and projects
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert 

Your Profile

  • Certified banking professional, or higher business education (university or university of applied sciences), CIA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • A certified public accountant qualification is advantageous
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor in banking audit (internal or external audit)
  • Profound experience in at least 2 of the following areas is a must: Operations, Risk, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Products, Treasury or Trading
  • Solid knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; experience with Avaloq is an advantage
  • Ability to weigh problems, set priorities and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate and challenge stakeholders at all levels
  • Hands-on mentality, strong work ethic, integrity and a high level of accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel abroad (approx. 30 days per year)
  • Fluency in English with the ability to write clear, impactful texts in English; knowledge of German, French, or Spanish is an advantage
