Senior Maintenance Methods Engineer

AliveDx is seeking a Senior Maintenance Methods Engineer to join our Maintenance Team based in Eysins, Switzerland. This is a full-time and permanent position.

 

YOUR MISSION

As a Senior Maintenance Methods Engineer, you will be responsible for improving equipment performance, maintenance methods, action plans, and work instructions within an in vitro diagnostics industrial environment.

You will contribute to the availability, reliability, and safety of installations while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, including ISO 13485, IVDR, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 & Part 11.

Working cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams, you will support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

 

 

 

You will :

 

Equipment Performance & Reliability

  • Diagnose equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Contribute to equipment upgrades and optimization initiatives to improve reliability, OEE, and reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and IT teams to ensure equipment availability and operational continuity

 

Continuous Improvement & Methods

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and improve maintenance methods, work instructions, maintenance plans, and digital tools
  • Support operator training and implementation of maintenance best practices

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, IVDR, FDA, and internal quality requirements
  • Support Change Control, deviation investigations, CAPA activities, and equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Maintain accurate and inspection-ready technical documentation and support audits as a technical expert

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Engineer methods & maintenance
  • Proven experience in a controlled production environment (Medical Device/Pharma), lean manufacturing
  • Strong experience with automation, robotics, vision systems, instrumentation, and maintenance methodologies
  • Good knowledge of cGMP requirements and experience working in regulated environments such as Medical Devices or Pharma
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaborative and proactive team player with strong organizational skills, flexibility, and operational focus
  • Fluent in French; English is a plus
