Derivatives Analyst – Derivatives Desk (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
- Support pricing, exposure management, and risk monitoring across linear and non-linear derivatives.
- Assist in trade evaluation, PnL analysis, and performance tracking for both options and linear books.
- Collaborate with traders and risk teams to ensure consistent valuation and effective Greeks management.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL) for pricing, market analysis, and visualization.
- Monitor energy and petrochemical markets, incorporating fundamental insights into trading decisions.
- Act as a key interface to internal stakeholders, supporting hedging, margin optimization, and market development.
- Identify trading opportunities (relative value, arbitrage) and contribute to idea generation for the desk’s proprietary trading activities.
- Gradually take on more responsibility in structuring, pricing, and trade execution.
Your profile
- Degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related) with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interest in energy and commodity markets, with solid understanding of derivatives (futures, swaps, options).
- Experience working with market data, with familiarity in programming and analytical tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL) considered a plus.
- Analytical mindset with knowledge of time series, pricing concepts, and relative value.
- Familiarity with PnL analysis, risk reporting, or trading tools is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working closely with traders in a fast-paced environment.
