Are you on board - and ready to be part of our dynamic, sustainable growth?Your responsibilityYou will develop the department's vision and strategy in accordance with Active Reinsurance's objectives and ensure its execution alongside your team.You will be responsible for overseeing all Active Reinsurance Non-Life Underwriting activities, with the aim of achieving financial targets outlined in the budget, target card, and strategic plan.You will formulate market and portfolio management plans that prioritize underlying portfolio profitability.You will provide underwriting training and mentorship to less experienced colleagues on market conditions, competitor analysis, and relationship management.You will establish and document underwriting standards for all Non-Life lines in compliance with Group directives and regulatory requirements, implement referral processes, and conduct regular underwriting reviews.You will lead by setting visions and goals, communicating them effectively so that your team can understand and contribute to their achievement.Your qualificationProven track record of extensive global reinsurance experience with markets, product, and economic insight.Solid knowledge in underwriting complex reinsurance treaties, versed in treaty wordings, pricing, rating, modeling, and valuation tools.An advanced level of education is necessary, with a comprehensive knowledge of insurance figures and statistical analysis.Demonstrated initiative in business development, customer service, planning, results orientation, teamwork, adaptability, and project management.Experiences in building teams with a strong identity that can use their varied skills and perspectives to reach challenging goals.Proficient in English and German; additional languages are a plus.Working at HelvetiaTeam Helvetia is there together when it matters.
