JUNIOR CONSULTANT ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS 80-100% - ZÜRICH / BASEL

YOUR TASKS:

(We are looking for strong competence in a selection of these tasks; no candidate is expected to meet every point)

•

Support modelling and analytics tasks, including Python development for simulations, forecasting tools, data pipelines and visualisations. Participate in research, data processing and method documentation

•

Assist in preparing clear, well-structured client presentations and deliverables for infrastructure managers across Europe

•

Contribute to implementation and testing activities for our asset-management software suite

•

Support market and sector analysis to identify trends across rail, energy and critical infrastructure in Europe for proposal preparation

•

Join client workshops, internal knowledge sessions and cross-disciplinary teamwork

Join AFRY trainee events and learning programmes across Europe and Scandinavia and collaborate with colleagues from multiple countries. In the short-term working on projects across Europe, long-term you will have the opportunity to work on international projects

YOUR PROFILE:

(We are looking for strong competence in a selection of these profiles; no candidate is expected to meet every point)

•

University degree in engineering, applied mathematics, data science, physics or a related discipline - or comparable proven experience. Further structured experience in asset management or technical competence is advantageous

•

Interest in developing advanced Python skills and learning to build analytical tools, data pipelines and simulations. Initial experience or strong academic grounding in modelling, analytics, infrastructure, asset management or related quantitative areas

•

Curiosity about infrastructure systems - rail, energy, utilities or other critical infrastructure - and how they are maintained, renewed and operated

•

Understanding or interest in asset-management frameworks (ISO 55000) and lifecycle-based planning

•

Ability to communicate analytical findings in a clear and structured manner

•

Motivation to learn consulting skills, participate in client meetings and work in multidisciplinary teams

•

Fluent German and English skills; other languages are an advantage

•

Open, reliable, proactive mindset; willingness to develop quickly and travel occasionally for European project work or trainee events

We are a hybrid consulting/IT team focused on asset management systems, digital solutions, and infrastructure advisory. We help decision-makers develop data-driven strategies for complex infrastructure portfolios, delivering integrated solutions from asset management assessments and portfolio condition evaluations to long-term maintenance, renewal, and investment planning for resilient infrastructure. Our services also include ISO certification, and EAM/ERP system support across all 10 IAM asset management domains

A core part of our offering is an asset-management software suite, already deployed with multiple infrastructure managers across Europe, supporting condition assessment, resilience simulations, deterioration and reliability modelling, lifecycle cost forecasting, scenario-based CAPEX/OPEX planning, backlog management, and advanced asset prioritisation.
