Solution Architect
Are you passionate about shaping the future of digital payments? Do you want to translate complex business requirements into sustainable, state-of-the-art IT solutions?
As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams, as well as with our peers at partner banks to design, build and constantly drive excellence in our cashless payment products with the help of technology. You will advise and lead customer projects and architecture initiatives, gather and analyze requirements, design reference architectures and solutions, define standards, leverage existing assets, solve problems with code, infrastructure, integration, strategy, delivery, and operations.
To strengthen our Enterprise Architecture & IT Solution Design team, we are looking for a highly qualified and motivated personality for our location in Zurich - to start immediately or as agreed.
Responsibilities
•
Take ownership of the domain architecture for specific business areas, ensuring that all solutions are aligned with our overall IT strategy and business goals, and that they demonstrate significant and quantifiable value
•
Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal partners (located in Zurich and Bedano TI)
•
Build strong links with and work collaboratively with teams and project teams to ascertain holistic solutions, transition, and delivery
•
Contribute to Viseca's IT strategy, and develop standards and roadmaps that match corporate vision and current and future technology development
•
Evaluate new technologies, conduct proof-of-concepts, and ensure that our architectural guidelines and quality standards are met throughout the entire development lifecycle
•
Actively participates in project programs including strategic projects in payments and digitization
•
Support the requirements analysis and select the right solutions and technologies
•
Review and assess existing architectures, solutions, and project results
•
Document enterprise and system architectures, and prepare technical reports
Qualifications
•
A university degree (ETH, Uni, FH) in computer science or a related field
•
Several years of hands-on experience in software development, complemented by a proven track record as a Solution Architect or Domain Architect
•
Deep, practical knowledge of microservices architecture, API design (REST, OpenAPI, gRPC), and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka). Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP or AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), having experience in hybrid environments is a significant advantage
•
Strong conceptual understanding of software and domain architecture principles and are familiar in the use of architecture frameworks (e.g., SAFe ARCH, TOGAF). You think strategically but are also able to dive into technical details when needed
•
You like to work agile and know how to engage your stakeholders including management in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and can also manage project-driven external suppliers
•
You are a communicator in English and German who can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Fluency in Italian is a plus
