For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a highly qualified Process Engineer (m/f/d)

Background:

As a Process Engineer in Manufacturing, you will deliver solutions for the USP, DSP, or ADC areas at Basel Drug Substance Manufacturing to ensure safe and high-quality production. You will benefit both our patients and our employees in the Manufacturing Unit by developing and implementing process improvements, fostering dialogue and collaboration between global functions in Development, Innovation, and Regulatory, and exchanging information with other Roche production sites.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree and at least three years of professional experience, along with extensive knowledge of downstream and/or upstream processing of biotechnologically manufactured products. Furthermore, at least two years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or development are required, as well as experience working in a cGMP environment.

Aufgaben & Verantwortlichkeiten:

• Technische und wissenschaftliche Unterstützung (1. und 2. Line Support) zur Sicherstellung robuster und effizienter Herstellungsprozesse im GMP-Umfeld

• Bereitschaftsdienst (Pikett) als 1st und 2nd Level Manufacturing Support

• Planung und Koordination von Troubleshooting Aktivitäten und Ursachenanalyse in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Manufacturing Value Streams, Quality and Support Einheiten

• Umgang mit geplanten und ungeplanten Ereignissen nach GMP-Richtlinien (Planned / unplanned events)

• Review und Approval von elektronischen Chargenprotokollen für kommerzielle und klinische Produkte (MES basierter Batch Record Review)

• Handeln gemäß den Anforderungen des internen Qualitätssystems und den cGMP-Vorschriften der Gesundheitsbehörden

• Leiten oder unterstützen von Optimierungsprojekte und Einführung neuer Technologien

• Vertretung des Standorts bei Netzwerkinitiativen und in Network-Communities

• Planung, Vorbereitung, Moderation, Durchführung, Zusammenfassung, Überprüfung und Aktualisierung neuer und bestehender Qualitäts-Risikobewertungen im Rahmen von kommerzieller Herstellung um eine systematische Identifizierung und Reduzierung/Eliminierung von GMP-Compliance-Risiken zu gewährleisten

• Owner der Produktionsprozesse (Schnittstelle Bereiche Manufacturing, Science and Technology (MSAT))

• Erstellung und Präsentation von Konzepten, Dokumenten und Assessments bei GMP-Audits und Behördeninspektionen

Must Haves:

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Natur- oder Ingenieurwissenschaften oder Abschluss im Bereich Biotechnologie oder Bioprozesstechnik bevorzugt

• Min. 3-5 Jahre Erfahrung und entsprechend umfangreiche Kenntnisse im Bereich Downstream Processing und/oder Upstream Processing von biotechnologisch hergestellten Produkten

• Min. 2 Jahre Erfahrung in der biopharmazeutischen Herstellung oder Entwicklung

• Erfahrung im Arbeiten in cGMP-Umgebung

• Hands-On Erfahrung in Large Molecules Drug Substance Herstellungsprozessen in Stahl oder Single-Use-Technologie von Vorteil

• Erfahrung bei technischen Transfers und im Qualitätsrisikomanagement (QRM) von Vorteil

• Teamplayer mit sehr hohem Grad an Selbständigkeit in einer Self Directed Umgebung

• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten bei der Interaktion im Team, lokalen und globalen Schnittstellen • Freude an der Arbeit in globalen Teams

• Lokale Arbeitssprache ist Deutsch daher sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse und Schreibkenntnisse erforderlich

• Ausgezeichnete Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
