Product Owner Barryvox (all, 80–100%)

The role of Product Owner Barryvox is at the core of developing and managing Mammut’s avalanche beacon platform. In this role you will ensure that user needs are translated into robust technical solutions and successfully implemented.

In addition to driving product development, you will act as the central technical contact for our global organization. As Product Owner Barryvox you will drive the service network, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement of the Barryvox ecosystem. We are looking for someone to start in this position on September 1st 2026 or by agreement.

Do what you love
Barryvox Product Ownership:

• You own and drive the Barryvox product development by translating user and market needs into technical requirements, coordinating external development partners, and ensuring high-quality, compliant products from briefing to production.

Technical Product Expertise:

• Build and maintain deep product knowledge. Act as use case specialist in avalanche rescue and ensure a strong understanding of the product across internal stakeholders.

Validation & Compliance:

• Ensure proper product validation (lab & field testing) and compliance with internal standards, PPE directives, and applicable norms

Service & Platform Ownership:

• Own the Barryvox service infrastructure and maintenance software, act as the global technical escalation point for Customer Service and Repair & Care teams, and ensure proper support of existing product platforms.

Training & Support:

• Train global service teams on a regular basis and ensure consistent product knowledge and service quality worldwide.

Play to your strengths

• Degree in engineering (electronics, mechatronics, or similar) or a comparable background combining technical and business expertise
• Strong understanding of avalanche safety products and their application
• Experience in project and product management for technical consumer electronics
• Solid understanding of product validation and certification processes
• A creative, efficient and flexible personality with a high interest in mountain sports activities
• Team player with a forward and entrepreneurial thinking mindset and high problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge in MS Office and3D CAD Software
• Fluent in English, other languages area plus
