To support our transformation journey and further strengthen sustainability across the Group, we are looking for a

Group ESG Director (f/m/d) 80–100%

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of the Group ESG strategy aligned with the strategic pillars People, Planet, Products and Practices
  • Translate ESG ambitions into clear priorities, governance structures, KPIs and execution roadmaps across countries and functions
  • Drive the Group’s ESG governance framework and prepare discussions for the ESG Committee, Sustainability Steering Committee and other decision-making bodies
  • Ensure ESG reporting readiness, including CSRD/ESRS alignment, KPI governance, data quality and assurance requirements
  • Coordinate Group-wide sustainability initiatives relating to climate, energy, water, waste, responsible sourcing, packaging, human rights, health & safety and business conduct
  • Partner closely with Operations, Procurement, R&D, Marketing, Commercial, HR, Finance, Legal, Quality and EHS to embed ESG into business decisions and day-to-day operations
  • Support local ESG teams through standards, tools, guidance, capability building and issue resolution
  • Represent IDAK in relevant ESG forums and maintain relationships with customers, certification bodies, consultants and external stakeholders
  • Lead hands-on execution where required, particularly during transformation phases and strategic initiatives
  • Build and continuously evolve the future ESG operating model across the Group, supporting integration, growth and long-term value creation

Your profile

  • University degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
  • Over 10 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, Strategy, Transformation, Operations, Consulting or related business leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting requirements, including CSRD, ESRS, GRI, SBTi, EcoVadis and responsible business principles
  • Experience in international and multi-site environments, ideally within manufacturing or food industries
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into practical implementation through governance, KPIs and cross-functional workstreams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including exposure to executive leadership, Board-level stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience working across Operations, Procurement, R&D, Marketing, HR, Finance, Legal, Quality and EHS functions
  • Ability to bring clarity and structure in complex and evolving environments
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills in English, both written and verbal
  • French, German and/or Italian are an advantage
