About the role

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will strengthen the technical delivery of an innovative AI project by designing graph-based knowledge structures. You will work within a collaborative team of nine to accelerate the final development phase before the system goes live.

Work tasks

1. Design and implement graph data models: Define entities, relationships, and graph schemas to support knowledge graph use cases and retrieval. 

2. Develop and optimize Neo4j-based solutions: Build and refine graph queries, data ingestion logic, and relationship structures supporting knowledge graph construction. 

3. Support knowledge graph integration into retrieval layer: Work on entity and relationship extraction and integration with retrieval mechanisms to enable graph-based querying and insights.

We are looking for

  • Advanced knowledge of Graph Modeling

  • Basic understanding of AI-driven workflows and semantic search

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Business Informatics

  • English fluent

  • 1 Year of experience with Neo4J

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience with Databricks or Azure environments
  • Previous experience in a project-based IT delivery environment
  • Knowledge in German language
